tDCS & arithmetic performance

In this paper which was published in Frontiers of Human Neuroscience, we were evaluted the effect of transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) on mathematical performance. We tested whether anodal stimulation of the posterior parietal cortex (surrounding intraparietal sulcus) would improve performance in a complex subtraction and a number comparison task. We found that left anodal stimulation improved complex subtractions as well as numerical cognition.
